About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a Cambodian Khmer teacher for two clients in Asheville, NC. This is a freelance, part-time position for a general language course. The format is two-to-one, with a total of 24 hours (12 x 2-hour sessions). The classes will be held at the students' home in Asheville, NC 28801. The students are a 30-year-old couple at a beginner level, motivated to achieve basic competency for daily life in Phnom Penh. The ideal schedule is once per week, preferably on Saturday at 7 pm or Monday at 7 pm. The position can start as soon as possible. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability. The hourly rate is negotiable.

Requirements

• Native Khmer speaker and/or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa.
• Live within 20 miles of Asheville, NC 28801.
• Submit CV with references.
• Provide availability.
• Provide earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide customized language training to professionals and private students.
• Teach Cambodian Khmer to a beginner-level couple.
