About The Position

This position is part of the AMUSE-PSAC bargaining unit. The Hiring Unit is McGill University Advancement, Annual Giving, Phonathon. The role involves organizing and monitoring a team of student fundraisers, compiling and tracking their incentives and statistics, reviewing and correcting donor data, assisting with training, and acting as a resource person to resolve issues during Caller shifts. The incumbent may also be asked to perform tasks of the Phonathon Callers. The list of functions is representative and not exhaustive.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience in the field of work.
  • Must be a student currently enrolled at McGill.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills (English and/or French).
  • Experience in sales or call center environment.
  • Experience as a student caller at the McGill Phonathon or experience with monitoring/supervising students.
  • Knowledge of French and English: Level # 3 on a scale of 0-4.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and monitors a team of student fundraisers.
  • Compiles and tracks student callers’ incentives, statistics from shift and other data points in excel reports.
  • Reviews, corrects and confirms all donor data inputted into internal database by student callers.
  • Assists with training Student Callers, reviews and corrects student’s performance and provides constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Acts as a resource person to resolve issues that may arise during Caller shifts and communicates issues to the Phonathon Manager.
  • May be asked to perform tasks of the Phonathon Callers.
