Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services field required.

Responsibilities

  • Answers telephone within 3 rings using the appropriate greeting and attempts to obtain all pertinent clinical, demographic and insurance information from the caller to determine caller’s needs.
  • Performs telephonic risk assessment to determine level of suicidality/homicidally with caller in crisis; Utilizes the 911 emergency systems whenever a caller is at serious risk to harm self or others.
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes Inquiry Call Sheet (ICS) to include obtained information and outcome of telephonic assessment.
  • Schedules assessments, psychiatric evaluations and admissions with potential patient/referral source; Explains the evaluation and admission process to the potential patient/referral source and informs patient of necessary items to bring for hospital stay.
