Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of dental experience, required

  • Experience in the dental industry or phone-based customer service, especially in high call volume settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Professional and supportive demeanor with patients.
  • High accuracy in typing and data entry.
  • Outgoing personality with a talent for building rapport over the phone.
  • Motivation to meet and exceed company goals.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • OMS software experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Professionally handle incoming calls to schedule appointments for new and existing patients, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Direct calls to the appropriate departments or individuals as necessary.
  • Accurately collect and update patient and insurance information using Open Dental software.
  • Engage in cross-training across various departments, with opportunities for rotational duties.
  • Meet scheduling targets and consistently deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a large volume of inbound calls with compassion and professionalism, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette, active listening, and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Make outbound calls to insurance companies and patients to verify eligibility, gather necessary information, and schedule appointments across multiple locations.
  • Take part in projects, meetings, and complete additional tasks as directed by the leadership team.
