About The Position

Berlin-Wheeler, Inc. is hiring a remote Call Center Representative to help members get to medical appointments. The role handles inbound calls, schedules non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) trips, and helps ensure members have safe, reliable rides. The position is remote and is limited to people who live and work in Kansas. Starting pay is $11.00 per hour, increasing by $1.00 to $12.00 per hour after 90 days of full-time employment. Weekend hours receive an additional $0.50 per hour. Operating hours are seven days a week, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The employer provides equipment and paid training.

Requirements

Must live and work in Kansas.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clear, friendly phone communication and good listening skills.
Comfortable using computers and typing, and able to learn new software quickly.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
A quiet, private home workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
Ability to work a set schedule.

Nice To Haves

Customer service, call center, scheduling, dispatch, or healthcare experience.
Familiarity with non-emergency medical transportation.

Responsibilities

Answer inbound calls from members requesting non-emergency medical transportation.
Set up member trips and enter accurate trip details into the system.
Confirm scheduled rides with members.
Call medical providers and vendors to confirm appointments.
Check transportation status to help ensure members arrive on time.
Resolve questions and concerns professionally, empathetically, and patiently.
Document every call and follow privacy and compliance requirements.
