About The Position

The Call Center Representative is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, managing schedules, verifying patient information, and performing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment. This role requires excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, proficiency with standard office equipment, and compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient with verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent Multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
  • Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, 50 to 80 wpm).
  • Proficient with computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Proficient with written, communication and basic math skills.
  • Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records).
  • Experience with HIPAA.
  • Experience with insurance and referrals.
  • Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Taking calls in a multi-line phone system.
  • Managing high volume schedules for numerous providers.
  • Scheduling appointments and procedures for multiple providers and locations.
  • Effectively dispatching calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Taking accurate messages with all necessary information and sending them to appropriate personnel.
  • Verifying and updating patient information.
  • Verifying Referrals and Authorizations.
  • Processing and distributing faxes.
  • Tracking cosmetic packages.
  • Processing and logging payments for copays and cosmetic procedures/products.
  • Scanning and attaching documents.
  • Data Entry.
  • Performing various administrative tasks as required.
