About The Position

The Call Center Representative will be responsible for receiving inbound and making outbound calls to interact with our customers and identify their needs or issues. Scheduling meter installation appointments will also be a primary task along with confirmation of address and phone numbers of customers. We have an opening for this role in Brownsville TX (Remote) - Experience is preferred! This position will be a Full Time Temporary position (2 years) Experience within the Utility or Transportation Industry is a plus! Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is required. Starting pay: $21.00 per hour

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is required
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience working in a customer centric position and interacting with software applications to serve the customer.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills
  • Must be able to sit or stand at workstation to interact with customers while using computers/headset
  • Able to get along and work well with others in a team atmosphere
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Effectively communicate with department and operations teams/provide regular updates
  • Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, and system records related to inventory movement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience is preferred!
  • Experience within the Utility or Transportation Industry is a plus!
  • Advanced degree or technical training is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner while transacting the schedule information within the Call Management Software.
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Maintain a courteous and friendly disposition when interacting with customers irrespective of their temperament
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers and staff by going the extra mile
  • Maintain open communications with Technicians in the field if adding/changing orders
  • Other admin duties as instructed by the Call Center Supervisors.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Assist with in-office reviews of completed field work to verify quality, compliance, and documentation accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records and spreadsheets.
