About The Position

In this role, you'll answer incoming calls, return voicemails, guide clients through available programs and eligibility requirements, complete initial screenings, process applications, gather documentation, schedule appointments, and connect individuals and families with community resources. Using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, you'll help ensure every client feels heard, respected, and supported.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • MS Office experience
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Comfort using computers, MS Office, internet applications, and data entry systems
  • Ability to multitask on a multi-line phone system in a busy environment
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • A professional, compassionate, and team-oriented mindset
  • High levels of accountability, confidentiality, and flexibility
  • Confidence communicating in English, both written and verbal
  • Must successfully pass a background check, drug/alcohol screening, sex offender registry check, child abuse/neglect check, and meet all Head Start Health requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of nonprofit, customer service, or call center experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Arabic
