About The Position

Simtra BioPharma Solutions (Simtra) is a world-class Contract Development Manufacturing Organization, partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to bring their sterile injectable products to market. With facilities in Bloomington, Indiana, US and Halle/Westfalen, Germany, we offer a wide range of delivery systems including pre-filled syringes, liquid/lyophilized vials, diluents for reconstitution, powder-filled vials and sterile crystallization. Our product types include biologics and small molecules, cytotoxics, highly potent compounds, diluents for reconstitution and vaccines – which are all directly injected into patients worldwide. While our primary focus is cGMP manufacturing, we offer many support services including formulation and development, lyophilization optimization, global regulatory support and secondary packaging. Requirements

  • High school diploma; Associate Degree (AA) preferred.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
  • May be required to work with pressurized equipment, hot surfaces.
  • May be required to work in confined spaces.
  • Position requires standing for long hours.
  • Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to qualify for Grade B gowning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine instrument calibrations.
  • Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of equipment and instruments for processing and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate calibration support to manufacturing, packaging, quality, and other departments where current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) equipment and instruments are used.
  • Set-up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments - including researching instrument specification and calibration techniques for new equipment, as applicable.
  • Adjusts/repairs instruments to meet calibration tolerance requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement functions (lean initiatives), which increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve quality.
