As our Calibration Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of measuring tools and instruments, maintaining calibration databases, and managing expiration and recall notices. You’ll collaborate closely with various departments, perform audits, and contribute to continuous improvements in calibration systems to meet regulatory requirements. Requirements

Good working knowledge or the ability to acquire skills in the following:
Experience with and the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel and be familiar with SAP database software.
The ability to be organized and detail oriented.
The ability to perform quality work using precision measuring tools and instruments to obtain established goals and higher productivity.
The ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, by presenting ideas and giving instructions/guidance to subordinates, co-workers, supervisors and outside agencies in a manner that instructions are carried out and requested information is obtained.
The ability to delegate and prioritize work effectively and creatively.
Must have graduated high school or obtained GED.
Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is a mandatory condition for employment.

Nice To Haves

2 years of college or trade school is preferred.
1-year of previous experience in a metrology lab or equivalent environment is preferred

Responsibilities

Perform the calibration of precision measuring and other tooling required in accordance with company instructions.
Maintain the calibration control database for tooling under calibration control, add and update data as received from Receiving, Shops or Tool Room.
Maintain a file of all calibration certificates for tooling maintained under calibration control.
Generate and distribute calibration recall notices in accordance with company instructions.
Generate and distribute calibration expiration notices in accordance with company instruction
Periodically perform inventory and condition audits of calibration-controlled tooling assigned to the various shops / departments including the Tool Room.
Expand calibration capabilities when determined to be in the best interest of the repair station.
Develop revisions to calibration system requirements based upon continuous improvement and regulatory requirements, including DWIM and RSQCM, and submit them for approval.
Implement approved revisions to calibration system requirements from RSQCM and DWIM as required providing continuous improvement and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Perform additional duties as required by the QA Manager.
