About The Position

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and installation of all plant and lab instrumentation and control equipment. Uniform, safety shoes, and safety glasses must be worn, as well as additional specialized personal protective. The schedule for this position is eight (8) hour days at our Devens and North Andover Massachusetts facilities. Weekend and other overtime work is required, as well as occasional on-call availability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or a satisfactory work record (Associate degree or related trade certificate/license preferred)
  • A minimum of 0-2 years related instrumentation experience (pharmaceutical or chemical)
  • Experience in a GMP environment preferred
  • Experience working in an environment that utilizes safety improvement processes, lock-out / tag-out, hot work, and other OSHA based programs
  • Formal process control (DeltaV) and Computerized Maintenance System experienced preferred
  • Must be able to physically enter equipment, and confined areas for maintenance purposes
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and work from building roofs and heights
  • Must be able to wear various types of respirators, protective clothing and hearing protection

  • Associate degree or related trade certificate/license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the calibration program for both the Devens and North Andover sites.
  • Responsible for all calibration scheduling and history tracking utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot, all plant and lab instrumentation and control equipment
  • Maintain inventory levels for repair, and critical spare parts
  • Manage the activities and schedules of outside contracted services
  • Generate operating and maintenance standard operating procedures for calibration and preventative maintenance activities
  • Develop equipment specifications, and assist in process system designs
  • Conduct formal investigations of equipment and system problems using a Root Cause process
  • Perform duties according to GMP standards and internal Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work safely, injury free, and actively participate in improving department and plant safety performance.
