About The Position

As a CalAIM Program Manager, you will assist with the implementation and oversight of the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) initiative, ensuring that our organization meets all program objectives and compliance requirements. This role involves strategic planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and collaboration with community partners to enhance the delivery of Medi-Cal services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of health policy, program management experience, and a commitment to improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for driving program success and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare program management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of CalAIM initiatives and Medi-Cal regulations.
  • State regulations require a physical examination, current tuberculosis test, and verified fingerprint and criminal records clearance before beginning work.
  • Possession of a valid drivers' license; current personal vehicle insurance, or safe driving record sufficient to ensure insurability through Agency policy.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of parents, employees of the organization, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to understand and use a variety of computer applications and appropriate software, spreadsheets and word processing, such as Microsoft Office and workplace electronic technology, including internet access, networking, and e-mail.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in non-profit organizations and/or in multi-site programs with large geographic service area preferred.
  • Bilingual, bi-literate, English/Spanish, English/Punjabi, English/Hmong, and/or other language ability based on program needs preferred.
  • May be required to use personal vehicle in successful completion of job duties and responsibilities.
  • Advanced personal computer skills including ability to design and develop databases; create computerized presentation/training materials; and use advanced graphics design applications is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to implement the CalAIM initiative, ensuring alignment with state guidelines and organizational goals.
  • Work with leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to meet program objectives, enhance service delivery, and improve health outcomes for Medi-Med beneficiaries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate program activities and foster effective partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and prepare comprehensive reports for state agencies and organizational leadership.
  • Monitor program budget, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor financial performance to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Supervise and mentor program staff, providing guidance and support to promote professional development and achieve program success.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to evaluate program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based solutions.
  • Assist in developing and executing outreach strategies to educate the community about CalAIM services and benefits, enhancing program visibility and engagement.
  • Advocate for policy changes and innovations that support the goals of CalAIM and address the needs of vulnerable populations.
  • Work with leadership to address and resolve any program-related issues or crises promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to support program initiatives.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to educate and engage community members about CalAIM services and benefits.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of organizational policies and procedures to align with CalAIM guidelines and best practices.
  • Plan and execute events, workshops, and meetings to promote program awareness and collaboration among stakeholders.
