About The Position

Nugget Markets is seeking an experienced Cake Decorator to join their talented team. This position requires individuals with experience crafting beautifully decorated cakes and desserts, specifically those who can produce a large number of cakes and desserts in a retail setting. The role involves travel to various locations including Davis, West Sacramento, Sacramento - Florin Rd, Elk Grove, and Roseville. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read and write in English
• An eye for color, texture and design with an attention to detail
• Experience in a retail environment producing a large number of cakes/pastries
• Ability to work at a fast pace while staying focused on completing individual tasks
• Basic understanding of the English language, which includes the ability to communicate, read and write basic instructions, schedules and signage
• A positive attitude is essential!

Responsibilities

• Support the bakery in stocking cases with an abundance of fresh, beautiful, high-quality products
• Provide world-class service to guests
• Prepare a variety of cakes, desserts and pastries consistently at a high rate of speed
• Mix creams, sauces, fillings and icings
• Apply finishing work to cakes
• Take guest orders by phone and in-person
• Assist the bakers and bakery clerks as needed
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment
