About The Position

Under the direction of the Cage Manager, the Cage Supervisor is responsible for supervising all cashiers on duty. Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Provide cashier services, including cashing checks, preparing fills and jackpots, checking banks out and back in, adding money to the safe, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, and balancing the bank. We will never communicate with you via text message to discuss or schedule job interviews. We will never ask you for any personal information over the phone, via email or via text.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience and/or training in direct supervision of fifteen or more employees, cash control and protection of assets; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A High School diploma or a General Education Degree
  • Strong guest service skills and the ability to ask questions and apply deductive reasoning and listening skills are essential
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and management
  • Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and Employees
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a State of California Key Employee License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge and greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers in any grievance or complaint.
  • Sell chips to Runners and Dealers.
  • Cash out customers.
  • Issue Dealer banks.
  • Maintain a “bank” when necessary
  • Issue Restaurant and Deli/Snack Bar Cashier’s banks.
  • Complete customer Cash advances
  • Assist customers in transactions of their “player banks”.
  • Accept authorized markers and sell chip to players accordingly.
  • Be aware of any counterfeit currency and report to the manager immediately.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Coach and Counsel employees
  • Have input regarding staff annual performance reviews.
  • Properly and Fairly assign stations for cashiers
  • Complete required daily reports
  • Ensure count team is properly staffed
  • Abide by Human Resources and Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by Management.
