About The Position

The Cage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multiple transaction recordings and SAR activity. This role requires knowledge of local jurisdiction and gaming laws (Federal and Tribal), as well as internal controls, policies, and procedures. The supervisor must demonstrate an understanding of all cage operations, identify and resolve variances, and maintain employee records. They will prioritize and resolve problems occurring during their shift, communicating important information to management and other cage staff. The position also involves resolving guest disputes, maintaining consistent attendance, promoting positive guest relations, and upholding a professional departmental, company, and community reputation. The team member will answer guest questions about the property and TGA job-specific inquiries, demonstrating attention to detail and sound judgment. Leadership is demonstrated by example and a hands-on approach when business requires. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, and exceptional customer service is expected at all times, maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor. Adherence to attendance guidelines, regulatory, departmental, and company policies, as well as attending all necessary training meetings, is required. Assistance with other projects may be directed. Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule. The role serves as an outstanding example and credit to Downstream Casino Resort.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or acceptable equivalent required.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Must have a Comprehensive knowledge of Downstream Casino Internal Controls, department and company Policies and procedures.
  • Team Member should be able to perform math problems. Basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication knowledge required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and technical written or oral instructions.
  • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Able to read and understand the Downstream Casino and Resort Internal Control System and Check Cashing policy.
  • Responsible for multiple transaction recording and SAR activity.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction and gaming laws (Federal and Tribal) as well as internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates an understanding in all cage operations for each cage bank.
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and locate variances within the banks and the front line.
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain employee records.
  • Identifies, prioritizes and resolves problems which occur during the assigned shift and communicates important information to the Cage Manager, Shift Managers, Main bank cashiers and cage cashiers on an as needed basis.
  • Demonstrates the ability to resolve guest disputes.
  • Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient guest service with internal and external guest.
  • Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
  • Concisely communicates problems, ideas and concerns to management on a timely basis.
  • Team Member is responsible for answering guest questions about Downstream property, as well as TGA questions regarding job specific.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment in work situations requiring individual decisions.
  • Demonstrates leadership by example and is “hands on” when business required.
  • Must be flexible in scheduling.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Attends all necessary training meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
