About The Position

Responsible for an assigned bank of currency and coin, using multiple software programs. Services and interacts with Casino guests by performing various duties related to cash and ticket handling, patron management, and financial transactions.

Requirements

  • Two years of prior cashiering or cash handling experience or working in a fast-paced, multitask environment or an equivalent combination of both.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and cash processing software.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key.
  • Ability to handle stress, remain calm and courteous, and handle a wide variety of clientele.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and team members.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Able to perform minimal troubleshooting on basic equipment used in essential job functions.
  • Employment is contingent upon favorable outcome of background investigation and drug screen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License and a Class III Gaming License.
  • Completion and passing score on a cage math test.
  • Completion and passing of the Cage training program.
  • Completion and passing Title 31.
  • Completion and passing of PCI.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with gaming compacts, internal controls, regulations, and company policies.
  • Safeguards the casino's bankroll and maintains an accurate bank balance.
  • Sells and redeems player terminal tickets, gift cards, internal payouts, sports wagering tickets, promotional vouchers, promotional chips, and table games chips.
  • Performs patron management functions including setting up guest accounts, issuing comps, printing player cards, updating guest information, and redeeming rewards.
  • Exchanges foreign currency and handles cash and chips for customers according to specific procedures.
  • Processes checks and credit/debit transactions following current policies.
  • Works collaboratively with team members to maintain high service standards.
  • Ensures all items of value are secured when leaving the work area.
  • Calls for assistance with suspicious transactions and notifies supervisors of discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Assists with tracking reportable transactions in accordance with Title 31 requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality of casino and guest data.
  • Reconciles bank at the end of the shift and processes paperwork through the electronic cash management system.
  • Provides exceptional guest service.
  • Ensures control and protection of company assets.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly workspace.
  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels.
  • Maintains a consistent and regular good attendance record.
  • Attends mandatory training classes and department meetings.
