This position is responsible for accurately redeeming and processing various cash instruments for both internal and external guests, including conducting transactions and accounting for all cage assets. The role involves working in multiple areas such as the Front line, Poker, Retail, JP/Fill Bank, and Vault, while demonstrating the GILA WAY. The Cage Cashier is expected to promote and provide excellent guest service experiences, verify funds, and comply with all enterprise and departmental policies and procedures, including key control, safety regulations, uniform requirements, and cash handling protocols. This role also requires compliance with federal cash reporting requirements and accurate transaction processing with corresponding paperwork, taking responsibility for any resulting overages or shortages. Vault duties include managing shift buys, bank issuance and returns, verifying cash and chips from various outlets, preparing tip tax deposits, performing cash strap verifications, and maintaining accurate cash-on-hand counts. The position also involves preparing daily bank deposits, receiving and verifying bank shipments, securing unclaimed items, maintaining currency/coin levels, filling kiosk cassettes, and receiving/dispersing tournament entry fees. Additionally, the Cage Cashier must maintain knowledge of counterfeit currency and fraud detection, attend trainings, maintain confidentiality, safeguard casino assets, and promote an effective, efficient, safe, and clean work environment. A dependable work attendance record is essential.
