About The Position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt, efficient, and friendly service. This role involves handling financial transactions such as cashing tickets, exchanging chips and cash, and processing credit card transactions. The Cage Cashier must accurately verify all funds and jackpot wins, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Adherence to regulatory laws, company policies, and quality service standards is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) months of cashier experience, preferably with a guest service focus.
  • Detail-oriented and good with numbers and money.
  • Stand for long periods in a noisy environment; perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers and lift and maneuver up to 25 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
  • Exhibits a professional, positive demeanor and appearance.
  • Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of cashier experience in a casino environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Prefer 10 key ability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction, casino play, and return visits by providing prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Service guest needs accordingly - providing change, cashing tickets, etc.
  • Accurately verify and exchange chips, slot tickets, and cash with guests and employees.
  • Verify slot tickets on the computer data system.
  • Assist guests with credit card transactions.
  • Verify all funds received from or given to the vault.
  • Verify jackpot wins and process as outlined.
  • Adapt to operation changes, schedules, job assignments, and procedures.
  • Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, and safety codes.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
  • Promptly report all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Participate and attend designated meetings, training, and activities as directed.
  • Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or cage manager.
