About The Position

Responsible for assisting customers with transactions and balancing bank drawers within the Cage Department, ensuring accuracy throughout the balancing process. This role also involves promoting the day-to-day membership of the Players Club (Sun Club) and collaborating with the Marketing Department to meet casino promotion event goals. Duties include printing Sun Club cards, answering questions, directing guests to the Marketing area, and performing bill acceptor drop and/or soft count functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or (GED) preferred.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Must be extremely numbers oriented.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge for data entry.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
  • Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
  • Must be 18 years of age to obtain and maintain a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Casinos.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Submit to a pre-employment drug test, and at random following employment.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting the day to day membership of our Players Club (Sun Club).
  • Working with the Marketing Department in meeting all casino promotion event goals that apply to the Cage/Club Rep position.
  • Printing Sun Club cards.
  • Answering questions.
  • Directing guests to the Marketing area.
  • Performing bill acceptor drop functions and/or soft count functions as needed.
  • Learning and ensuring policies and procedures are being followed per the departments' Internal Controls.
  • Adhering to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team Member Handbook.
  • Adhering to SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive attitude with customers as well as fellow team members.
  • Accurately counting and balancing of cashier bank.
  • Maintaining cashier drawer transaction records and preparing daily cash inventory form.
  • Redemption of video gaming tickets and gaming chips.
  • Maintaining imprest bank balance through buy/sell from the vault.
  • Cashing personal checks for currency.
  • Redeeming foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates for the various currencies received.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of facilities, as well as special events, programs and casino games in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
  • Assisting in maintaining cage floor security by notifying department supervisors, security and surveillance of suspicious activity.
  • Assisting other Cashiers within the Cage, as needed.
  • Maintaining departmental records, reports and Confidentiality with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Being proactive and identifying problems and solutions, and following up with Cage Manager or Cage Supervisor.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of our database system to perform duties with the promotional tracking system.
  • Promoting Casino promotions with all customers and prompting new customers to sign onto our players club.
  • Assisting each customer through the membership process by inputting customer data into promotional tracking system.
  • Keeping accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
  • Assisting Cage Supervisor and Cage Manager with special projects as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and clear workstation.
  • Stocking promotional items; such as bungee cords, club cards and other items for promotional use.
  • Informing Guest Services when items run low.
  • Working shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Ensuring minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Having knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee's department.
  • Consulting Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Reporting illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
