Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to rotate stock, move inventory, lift serving pans, equipment, etc.
Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the work shift.
Ability to work safely and accurately under a deadline.
Ability to display a positive attitude at work.

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of meal production, serving, and clean-up within the school kitchen and cafeteria as assigned by the school Cafeteria Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
Operate the computerized point of the sale cash register.
Receive deliveries and stock inventory in designated locations.
Use commercial kitchen equipment to prepare and serve food in large quantities.
Use cleaning solutions to clean kitchen equipment, serving areas, handwash pots and pans, and other cleaning and sanitizing duties.
Perform all duties while following National Restaurant Association standards for sanitation and safety.
Perform simple math functions and operate a computerized cash register and make accurate change.
Learn and follow food safety procedures (annual ServSafe training is provided and is required to pass certification exam following training).
Follow directions and ability to work independently.
Work cooperatively with co-workers and contribute to a positive and respectful working environment.
Work in a clean and sanitary manner.
