About The Position

The Natick Public Schools seek a Cafeteria Monitor to ensure the safety of students during lunch and recess periods and to maintain the orderly functioning of the cafeteria. This role is crucial for supporting the school community and fostering a positive environment for students. Requirements

• Experience working with children is required.
• Must be organized and patient.
• Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed.
• Must be flexible and collaborative.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth.
• Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprints.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree preferred.
• Understanding of child development.
• Understanding of good practices for guiding and supervising students in informal settings.
• Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable.
• Good communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Candidates should have a passion for working with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch periods at the elementary school level.
• Assist in the delivery of lunches.
• Ensure the safety of students both inside and outside the school building during lunch periods.
• Assist in the cleanup of the lunch areas at the end of lunch periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building department.
