About The Position

Join our friendly and fun team as a Cashier & Delivery Driver at LaSalle Market! As the first point of contact for our customers—whether in-store or at their doorstep—you’ll help make every experience sweet, smooth, and memorable. This role involves greeting customers, answering questions about products and menu items, suggesting add-ons, operating a cash register or POS system, handling payments, issuing receipts, sanitizing the register area, restocking supplies, and maintaining a neat checkout station. You will also notify supervisors of low-stock items, scan items, assist with basic stock checks, help coworkers during busy shifts, and relay customer feedback. Additionally, you will deliver food orders promptly and courteously to customers in the local area, ensuring orders are complete, accurate, and safely transported, while representing LaSalle Market with professionalism and friendliness.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience working in retail customer service as a Cashier, Sales Associate or similar role.
• Valid Driver License.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
• Ability to stay alert for pricing errors, counterfeit money, or suspicious behavior.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with customers.
• Clear verbal communication and active listening.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy or challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Scan items and assist with basic stock checks as needed.
• Assist coworkers during busy shifts by bagging items or managing line flow.
• Relay customer feedback or unusual transactions to the shift lead or manager.
• Deliver food orders promptly and courteously to customers in the local area.
• Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and safely transported.
• Represent LaSalle Market with professionalism and friendliness during each drop-off.
