About The Position
The Cafe Manager supervises the food service operation and ensures that standards of excellence are met. The role supervises associates and supports financial responsibilities, including operating within the budget and identifying opportunities to improve the business. The manager also oversees cafe operations and plans, markets, and executes special events and promotions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Hire, supervise, train, and coach associates.
- Plan, market, and execute special events and promotions in the cafe.
- Ensure compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards.
- Operate within the budget and identify new ways to improve the business.
- Manage cafe operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
