About The Position

The Jewish Community Center is seeking a part-time Cafe & Kitchen Associate responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas, general food prep, and ensuring high-quality food meets standards. The role also involves providing excellent customer service, handling food orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position is classified as part-time, non-exempt with no benefits and will not exceed 29 hours per week. The associate is expected to be a team player and adhere to the JCC Mission Statement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in food prep and cooking in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting
• Previous Food and Beverage industry experience
• Highly organized and detailed oriented
• Able and willing to take direction
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry items while walking
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and dependable
• Professional in appearance, manner and tone
• A team player who possesses the ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
