About The Position

The primary responsibility of this role is to effectively perform cashier-related functions and cooking duties while maintaining the highest level of customer service. The position requires maintaining a friendly and professional environment by greeting customers and co-workers, accurately completing sales transactions, and maintaining proper cash accountability. The role also involves communicating customer service issues to management and performing other duties as directed.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment and food handling procedures.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Must be able to multi-task.
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Lifting up to 20 lbs on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

Effectively perform cashier related functions and cooking duties.
Maintain the highest level of customer service.
Maintain a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker.
Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions.
Maintain proper cash accountabilities on a daily basis.
Effectively communicate customer service issues and requests to management.
Handle cash, checks, and credit cards.
Count till at the beginning and end of each shift, verifying transactions and till balance.
Maintain store appearance by keeping everything neat and clean.
Stock inventory (groceries, fountain, and coffee areas).
Operate espresso machine in accordance with rules and procedures.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
Setup stations according to restaurant guidelines.
Prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
Assist in cleaning, sanitization, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
