About The Position

Nutrition Management Services Company is seeking a hands-on Café Manager to lead the daily operation of a busy resident and guest café within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). The café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. The ideal candidate combines culinary experience with a strong front-of-the-house personality and enjoys creating an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests.

Requirements

• Restaurant, café, senior living, or hospitality management experience.
• Culinary experience required with the ability to support food preparation and production when needed.
• Strong, outgoing front-of-the-house presence and commitment to resident service.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with FullCount POS or a similar system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily café operations, including food quality, service, staffing, sanitation, and cash controls.
• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence during meal periods and build strong relationships with residents.
• Train, schedule, and supervise café culinary and service staff.
• Work closely with the Hospitality Chef Manager to elevate food quality, presentation, variety, and hospitality.
• Manage POS transactions, resident accounts, reporting, and daily reconciliation.
• Support food cost, inventory, ordering, portion control, and waste management.
• Provide management coverage for other Dining Services managers during days off and vacations.
• Assist with Main Dining Room operations, special events, and other areas of Dining Services as needed.
