About The Position

Nestled within the inviting atmosphere of Endicott College’s Wylie Inn & Tupper Manor, the Café Breakfast Cook & Attendant plays a key role in providing a warm and welcoming dining experience. Reporting to the Executive Chef, this position is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a friendly, detail-oriented professional with a passion for food and hospitality. Endicott College is a vibrant community located on Boston’s North Shore, with a beautiful oceanfront campus in Beverly, Massachusetts. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary or hospitality training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation, cafe service, or hospitality.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Proficiency in handling cash, credit card transactions, and basic point-of-sale systems.
  • Willingness to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with breakfast service or barista skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, waffles, and other café offerings.
  • Set up and maintain the continental breakfast station, ensuring items are replenished as needed.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service to all guests.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including espresso-based drinks, tea, and specialty beverages.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning.
  • Keep inventory of food and beverage items, notifying management of any shortages.
  • Maintain and restock the grab-and-go station with fresh offerings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings.
  • Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
