About The Position

The CAE Crash Analyst performs crashworthiness, impact, and structural stiffness simulations using LS-DYNA, Nastran, and Abaqus. The role develops, reviews, and validates finite element models; analyzes results to identify potential failure modes; and recommends design improvements. It evaluates structural performance against engineering requirements and design targets, troubleshoots simulation issues, and supports the accuracy and reliability of CAE results. The analyst prepares technical reports, simulation summaries, and engineering presentations, and collaborates with design, product development, and CAE teams to resolve complex engineering challenges. The role ensures simulation quality and timely delivery of project milestones, provides technical guidance to engineering team members, and coordinates with on-site and global engineering teams to support project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CAE, crash analysis, and structural stiffness analysis.
  • Practical experience with LS-DYNA, Nastran, and Abaqus.
  • Strong understanding of finite element analysis, structural mechanics, material properties, boundary conditions, and failure criteria.
  • Experience in FE model preparation, solver execution, post-processing, and interpretation of simulation results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex simulation issues and recommend effective engineering solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at an on-site customer location and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive structural analysis and crashworthiness.
  • Knowledge of fatigue, durability, and other structural performance assessments.
  • Familiarity with CAE pre-processing and post-processing tools such as HyperMesh, ANSA, and LS-PrePost.
  • Experience with simulation validation and correlation with physical test results.
  • Strong technical leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
