About The Position

The client Office of Design & Policy Support is seeking to hire a CADD Support Consultant to assist in the support and implementation of CADD software and workspaces within the Department. This role will involve assisting Department personnel in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software, primarily Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Modeler. There will also be a need to support legacy workspaces for Bentley InRoads and Microstation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation.

Requirements

• 2-4 years documenting/revising existing and new business processes to meet new/revised CADD software requirements combined experience with the above duties.
• 2-4 years' experience assisting Department personnel in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software.
• 2-4 years' experience working with CADD software (i.e.; Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Bentley InRoads and Microstation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation).
• Some knowledge of Visual Basic is preferred.
• Python is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience is preferred but not required for developing and conducting training sessions.
• Public sector and/or Transportation experience is strongly preferred.
• Transportation engineering background is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day user support, including troubleshooting user issues submitted via ServiceNow ticketing system and software installation as needed for users.
• Assist with external user workspace installation.
• Assist in maintaining the Department's Engineering Software standards and documentation, determining the best way to use the Bentley software and workspaces to achieve design or plan preparation goals.
• Develop documentation of best practices, including how-to guides and workflows.
• Develop and conduct CADD software/workspace user training sessions.
• Investigate new and emerging CADD technology and make recommendations for implementation.
• Document and revise existing and new business processes to meet new/revised CADD software requirements.
• Develop CADD software best practices.
