About The Position

This role involves providing day-to-day user support for CADD software, troubleshooting issues, performing software installations, and assisting with user workspace setup. The consultant will also be responsible for maintaining engineering software standards, documenting best practices, developing training materials, and investigating new CADD technologies. A key aspect of the role is documenting and revising business processes to align with CADD software requirements and developing CADD software best practices.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience documenting or revising business processes for CADD software requirements.
• 2-4 years of experience in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software.
• 2-4 years of experience working with Bentley suite CADD software.
• Experience documenting or revising existing and new business processes to meet new or revised CADD software requirements.
• Experience supporting the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software.
• Experience working with CADD software including Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Bentley OpenBridge, Bentley InRoads, Microstation SS2, and CAiCE.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Visual Basic is preferred.
• Python experience is strongly preferred.
• Public sector or transportation industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Transportation engineering background is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day user support and troubleshoot issues submitted via the ticketing system.
• Perform software installation as needed for users.
• Assist with external user workspace installation.
• Assist in maintaining engineering software standards and documentation.
• Determine optimal methods for using Bentley software and workspaces to achieve design or plan preparation goals.
• Develop documentation for best practices, including workflows and instructional guides.
• Develop and conduct CADD software and workspace user training sessions.
• Investigate new and emerging CADD technology and provide recommendations to management for implementation.
• Document and revise business processes to meet updated CADD software requirements.
• Develop CADD software best practices.
