About The Position

KēSTA I.T. is actively seeking a CADD Support Consultant for an immediate contract engagement with our client. We are seeking a CADD Support Consultant to provide technical support, software implementation assistance, and user guidance for computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) environments. This role will support the administration, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of CADD software and workspaces, with a primary focus on Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Modeler. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting CADD users, documenting business processes, developing software best practices, and evaluating emerging technologies to improve engineering design and plan preparation workflows.

Requirements

2+ years of experience documenting and revising existing and new business processes to support CADD software requirements.
2+ years of experience supporting the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software.
2+ years of experience working with CADD software, including platforms such as: Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Bentley OpenBridge Modeler, Bentley InRoads, Bentley MicroStation, MicroStation SS2, CAiCE
Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting for CADD applications and workspaces.
Experience developing or maintaining CADD standards, workflows, procedures, or best-practice documentation.
Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective CADD processes and solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to develop clear technical documentation and user instructions.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience with Visual Basic and/or Python; strong Python experience is preferred.
Experience developing and delivering CADD software or workspace training.
Public-sector experience.
Transportation industry or transportation engineering experience.
Experience supporting engineering design, drafting, or plan preparation environments.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar enterprise ticketing platforms.
Experience evaluating and implementing emerging CADD technologies.
Familiarity with legacy and modern Bentley CADD environments.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support to CADD users by troubleshooting software and workspace issues and resolving requests submitted through enterprise ticketing systems.
Install, configure, and support CADD software for internal and external users as needed.
Assist with the deployment and maintenance of CADD workspaces and user configurations.
Support the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software, workspace updates, and related technical solutions.
Evaluate engineering and design requirements to determine effective ways to utilize CADD software and workspace capabilities.
Develop, maintain, and document CADD standards, best practices, workflows, and how-to procedures.
Review and update existing business processes to accommodate new or revised CADD software functionality and requirements.
Create technical documentation that provides users with clear guidance for design, drafting, and plan preparation activities.
Assist with the development and delivery of CADD software and workspace training sessions for users.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to CADD users and other personnel.
Research new and emerging CADD technologies and evaluate their potential benefits and applicability to engineering workflows.
Present recommendations regarding new CADD technologies, software enhancements, and implementation strategies to technical staff and management.
Assist with identifying opportunities to improve CADD processes, software utilization, and overall user efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, technical, and business stakeholders to understand operational needs and develop appropriate CADD solutions.
Support legacy CADD environments and workspaces as needed while helping transition users toward current technologies and standards.
Troubleshoot complex CADD software and workspace issues and provide timely resolution or escalation when appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation of software configurations, workflows, standards, procedures, and implementation activities.
