About The Position

This position is responsible to program the CAD machines that automatically cuts upholstery fabric. The role involves pulling rolls of fabric off buggies and placing them on the table, assisting the CAD Cutter in loading and unloading fabric, and measuring fabric width and repeat. The programmer must input these measurements into the CAD program to set up a marker for the CAD operator. Additionally, the role includes pulling COM Fabric from bins, cutting fabric to standard according to production work tickets, and verifying that the fabric being cut matches the ticket. Collaboration with Product Development is required for new styles and specs in the Lectra Program, as well as for new product introductions. The position also mandates adherence to all safety policies and procedures, and performance of other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of experience with CAD program
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and computer aided design systems related to pattern designs
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, etc.
Prolonged periods of sitting and performing repetitive tasks, including but not limited to computer and telephone usage
Must be able to work in noisy environments
Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 10 lbs.; on occasion up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Pull rolls fabric off of buggies and place on table.
Assist CAD Cutter in loading and unloading fabric.
Measure fabric (width and repeat).
Input measurements into the CAD program to set up a marker for the CAD operator.
Assist in pulling COM Fabric from the bins.
Work off the production work ticket to cut fabric to standard.
Verify that fabric being cut matches the ticket.
Work with Product Development on new styles and specs to put in the Lectra Program.
Work with Product Development with new product introductions.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
