About The Position
The CAD Operator prepares, modifies, and refines computer-aided designs and models to support production and project requirements. The role creates and edits precise CAD designs, interprets design specifications, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project needs.
Requirements
- Experience working in mechanical design.
- Experience creating dies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in CAD software and ability to learn new programs.
- Strong understanding of design principles and drafting techniques.
- Excellent spatial reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in drafting, CAD, or a similar field.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit complex CAD designs with precision and accuracy.
- Interpret and implement design specifications, modifying existing designs as needed.
- Use CAD software to design, analyze, and simulate projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing support to team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
