About The Position

The CAD Operator / Civil Designer is responsible for preparing detailed civil drawings using CAD software, supporting engineering and design teams through drafting, as-built documentation, and coordination of project design requirements. This role requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a CAD Operator, Civil Designer, or similar drafting role.
Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD.
Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
Strong understanding of civil and structural drafting principles, systems, and construction documents.
Ability to create detailed layouts, technical drawings, and isometric drawings.
Strong creative and technical design skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, Technical Certification, or coursework in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
Experience with field measurements and as-built data gathering preferred.
Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed civil design drawings and assemblies.
Develop and update construction drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings based on field measurements and site data collection.
Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and construction documents to produce accurate layouts and detailed drawings.
Analyze design requirements and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and value.
Coordinate with engineers, consultants as necessary.
Provide timely responses and drafting support to architectural and engineering teams.
Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions.
