About The Position

The Programming & Design Manager leads the P&D; Department, overseeing digital layout execution, CNC programming, and production coordination. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and seamless communication between sales, project management, and fabrication teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CAD drafting/design experience required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software platforms
• Strong understanding of drafting standards, technical drawings, and design processes
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing workflows

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of leadership or management experience preferred
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Design, or related field preferred
• Experience within manufacturing, construction, cabinetry, millwork, or related industries preferred
• Knowledge of BIM standards and project coordination is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient workflows for digital layouts
• Ensure slab inventory and photography are up to date
• Provide timely revisions to keep projects on schedule
• Verify layouts are accurate and fabrication-ready
• Conduct in-person client layout consultations
• Collaborate with sales and project teams
• Coordinate with fabrication for production planning
• Program CNC machines and SawJets
• Deliver programs to production teams
• Assist operators with troubleshooting
• Improve workflows and reduce errors
• Maintain software and licenses
• Collaborate with measuring and production teams
• Ensure CNC machines meet safety standards
• Schedule repairs and minimize downtime
• Conduct weekly tool inventory checks
• Implement preventative maintenance practices
• Build relationships with technicians and operators
• Develop and improve departmental processes
