Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cable & Wire Harness Technician 1/2 - First Shift to support our Tactical Space Systems Division located in Gilbert, AZ. This position entails the fabrication and assembly of complex Space flight cable and harnesses assemblies from drawings, schematics, wire lists, or engineering sketches in conformance with government specifications and workmanship standards. Assembly is performed in a professional atmosphere in a ESD and FOD awareness area. Daily work attire includes lab coat and latex gloves at all times. Regular use of soldering iron, tweezers, heat gun and other common hand tools. This is a SkillBridge Program opportunity, an approved program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. The program aims to provide transitioning service members with fellowship-style job skills training, acting as a pipeline for motivated military candidates into Northrop Grumman. Interns will receive on-the-job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week, with potential for full-time transition upon completion.
