Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning wiring harnesses.
  • Ability to identify and rectify defects or issues in harnesses.
  • Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of care and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to assemble cables & harness assemblies, and adapters.
  • Ability to maintain accurate material control.
  • Ability to provide timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering.
  • Ability to follow and maintain accurate process documentation.
  • May use a variety of tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of Cables and Harness.
  • Diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning wiring harnesses, using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Identify and rectify any defects or issues in the harnesses, such as miswiring, poor connections, or insulation damage.
  • Identifies by sight workmanship and material defects in touch-up and assembly areas and may be able to suggest basic changes to the work instructions to improve operations in these areas.
  • Performs tasks with a high degree of care / Quality and attention to details while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assembles cables & harness assemblies, and adapters by working from samples, Technical Data packages, visual aids, wiring lists and Work Instructions.
  • Maintains accurate material control within the work area.
  • Participates in providing timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering, as appropriate.
  • Follows and maintains accurate process documentation.
  • May use a variety of tools to perform tasks.
