About The Position

A major data center in Hermiston, OR is actively seeking multiple Data Center Cable Technicians to join its growing team. This is a construction/labor-intensive role involving the installation and decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure within a Data Center environment. Responsibilities include pulling various types of low voltage cable, installing OSP/ISP cables through conduits, and performing maintenance. The role also requires cutting and installing threaded rod, uni-strut, and fiber trough, as well as affixing bar coding to equipment and printing labels. Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation, including redlining work, is also a key part of the job.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical work, including climbing ladders, assembling server cabinets, and cabling.

Nice To Haves

• Cabling experience (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, punch downs, etc.).
• Data Center/Construction site experience.

Responsibilities

• Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
• Pull all types of low voltage cable including copper telecom, fiber, cat5/6, coax, etc.
• Install OSP/ISP cables through conduits and maintenance.
• Cut and install threaded rod, uni-strut, fiber trough and affix bar coding to equipment and free printed label.
• Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
