DataVox is seeking Cable Technicians to join the Building Technology Solutions (BTS) Department in Dallas - Fort Worth! Requirements

2+ years of experience with commercial cable installationrequired
Previousexperience with network cables (Cat5, Cat6, etc.)required
Valid Driver’s Licenserequired
Clean driving recordrequired
Car insurance policy meeting DataVox standards
Haveavehicle in good working condition
Must havea workingmobile phone
Must pass background check and drug screen
Must have their own toolswithin60daysof employment: Phillips ScrewdriverSet (1,2, &3), Flathead Screwdriver Set (small, medium, & large), Tape Measure, Sheetrock Saw (Keyholesaw), Punch Tool w/110 & 66 blade, Snips, Toner& Wand (Progressive Electronics 200EP or similar), Kleins (linemen pliers) or Side Cutters, Crescent Wrench Set (small & medium), Socket Set (3/8 drive ranging from ¼” to ¾”), Open End/Box End Wrench Set (ranging from ¼” to ¾”), Torpedo Level, Hammer-Touch Labeler (Brother PT-1090 or PT-1010), Hacksaw, Tool Bag orToolbox(recommend lockable), Flashlight, Caulking Gun, Channel Locks (small & medium)

Experience with closet work a plus
Experience withanalog and IPpaging is a plus

Responsibilities

Installation and testing associated with Network cabling –Cat.5e, Cat.6, Fiber Optic, Coax,RisersandMulti-PairTie Cables
Interpret CAD design drawings and adhere to BICSI – EIA – TIAspecifications.
Understanding and knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and voice and data applications a plus
Solid experience in complete pre-cabling preparation, installation of patch panels, punch down 66/110 blocks, 110-patch panel, and various data and voice jacks.Install,terminate, andtestall forms of communication cabling will offer you moreopportunity.
