About The Position

TEKsystems is seeking experienced voice and data technicians to join their team in Memphis, TN. to support projects all throughout the west Tennessee Market. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with possible overtime. This is NOT an entry-level role. While you will work under the guidance of a experienced Lead Technician or Foreman to execute large-scale layouts, you must possess proven, independent experience navigating commercial pathways, routing low-voltage wiring, and executing clean data terminations without supervision.

Requirements

2+ years leading crews within commercial low-voltage environments
Complete comfort with hand and power tools
Strict commitment to construction site safety (OSHA 10 preferred)
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Physical stamina to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in tight spaces
Site Awareness & Safety: Full comfort working on active construction sites, operating basic power tools, climbing ladders, working on lifts, and strict adherence to PPE and job site safety (OSHA 10 preferred).
Precision Data Termination: Confidently terminate and punch down copper cabling into RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks, and patch panels in server rooms (MDF/IDF), cleanly and efficiently.
Dress & Label Infrastructure: Cleanly bundle and dress cable runs with Velcro, and systematically label both ends of each cable run per project blueprints and TIA/EIA standards.

Responsibilities

Independently pulling, routing, and distributing low-voltage copper cabling ((CAT5e), (CAT6), (CAT6A)) through J-hooks, conduits, and drop ceilings.
Cleanly bundle, dress, and systematically label your runs while performing precise, high-volume data terminations into RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks, and server-room patch panels using T568A/B standards.
