About The Position
TEKsystems Inc. is seeking entry-level individuals for a spotter position to join our team in the Greater South Bend Area supporting commercial construction projects. This position offers a contract with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time employee. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting network issues, and configuring telecommunications devices. The technician will collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end-users, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies is also a key aspect of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in telecommunications or related field.
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling.
- Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment.
