This is a Contract position based out of Social Circle, GA. The role involves network equipment and fiber knowledge, including troubleshooting. Responsibilities include laying out and installing wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and other devices. The technician will also build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware. Installation of grounding for racks, equipment, and cable is required, as is completing all IDC connections (e.g., terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels). The position requires individuals who can work both inside and outside buildings, including data centers. The role involves pulling wire and/or overseeing and directing conduit installations and wire pulling. The technician will operate tools and equipment normally requiring the use of two hands, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.
