About The Position

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Social Circle, GA. The shift is Monday- Friday 6am-5pm. This role involves working inside and outside buildings, including data centers. The ideal candidate will be hard-working and proficient with the necessary tools. The position requires the ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, and knowledge of universal communications color codes.

Requirements

Network equipment experience
Cat6 termination
Fiber knowledge
Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools
Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements
Must know the universal communications color codes

Nice To Haves

Cable, Cabling, Cat6, Rack and stack, Punchdown, Cat5, Cable installation, Structured cabling

Responsibilities

Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices
Build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware)
Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required
Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)
Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling
Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)
