About The Position

Green Mountain Electric Supply is hiring a full-time Cable Solutions Team Member for its Kirkwood, New York branch. The role supports wire management and product movement in a distribution operation, including receiving, cutting, and shipping wire orders; managing wire inventory; and organizing the wire room. The team member also collaborates with colleagues to explore opportunities, gather feedback, identify improvements, and support the company’s strategic growth plan and culture. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Respool wire and cable for customer orders accurately and promptly while minimizing scrap.
• Operate wire-cutting equipment safely and effectively, securing moving parts and using appropriate speeds.
• Use appropriate tools to cut wire.
• Keep workstations clean and organized.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes or boots.
• Collaborate with the team on ideas, designs, and prototype business models, products, systems, tools, and services.
• Contribute to team efforts and results, working independently and collaboratively.
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and develop plans for team review.
• Develop job knowledge through on-the-job training, technical publications, and/or workshops.
• Support wire-order receiving, shipping, inventory management, and organization of the wire room.
