This multidisciplinary team allows you to allocate your resources more efficiently. Our Operations Department is looking for an experienced Cable Assembler to perform various assembly functions. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Equivalent years of relevant work experience within electronic assembly
  • Good hand to eye co-ordination and manual dexterity
  • Strong attention to detail is essential
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Ability to document clearly & concisely is essential
  • Ability to interpret schematic drawings and production documents
  • Ability to read ECN upgrades
  • Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion
  • Ability to listen and communicate with peers at all levels within the organization.
  • Health and Safety conscious.
  • Autonomous self-starter; can anticipate what needs to be done before being asked.
  • All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD).

Nice To Haves

  • Electronic Technician/Technologist Diploma an asset
  • QC experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily equipment validations before starting assemblies
  • Assemble cable, assemblies, or sub-assemblies
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications
  • Build and test cables
  • Solder wires and components
  • Utilize designated pneumatic and hand tools required to complete tasks
  • Perform duties and inspect workmanship to IPC620 standards
  • Document all work performed using system tools
  • Communicate issues with supervisor and engineering team
  • Read and interpret engineer change notices to complete required tasks
  • Work with engineering on prototype, first article builds, and provide input on NPI process development
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  • Perform other job-related duties, as required
