About The Position
Art of Drawers is seeking a skilled Custom Refacing Installer for kitchen cabinet refacing projects. The installer finalizes measurements after a salesperson sells the job, then completes the installation. Work includes applying refacing materials to cabinet fronts and sides and replacing cabinet doors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Art of Drawers provides hands-on, three-day training covering installation standards, product systems, troubleshooting, and finish expectations. Materials are provided, and the role involves minimal administrative burden. Installers may receive additional work through ongoing relationships with clients and may build direct side projects outside of Art of Drawers. Compensation averages $40–$60 per hour, depending on pace and project size, and referral fees are available for work sent to the company.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen cabinet refacing or similar carpentry and installation work.
- Ability to measure, cut, and install materials precisely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Finalize measurements after the job has been sold.
- Install refacing materials on cabinets, including veneer and laminates on cabinet exteriors.
- Replace cabinet doors, ensuring precise alignment and fit.
- Meet Art of Drawers’ standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
