About The Position

Manage the overall operations of the cabinet division, ensuring effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. This role enhances operational procedures, systems, and principles in cabinet ordering, receiving, warehousing, installation, quality control, and warranty. The manager will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and employee motivation. The role involves organizing the budget of the cabinet division in collaboration with the Builder Operations Manager and requires extensive operational management experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and key performance indicators. The Cabinet Division Manager will lead and direct the work of others, demonstrating creativity and latitude in their approach. This position reports to the Builder Division Ops manager and top management, overseeing operational staff in the CSR department, warehouse, and field.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
  • Forecast requirements; prepare a departmental budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
  • Build relations with builders and their superiors
  • Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace
  • Work with sales on contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison between cabinet division, builders, and installers
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues to Operations Manager.
  • Work closely with the inventory manager and purchasing team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right cabinets and maintaining solid inventory data.
