About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Cabin Designer to join our Cabin Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work on A220 interiors. You will be part of the Cabin Design team responsible for defining and installing aircraft interior systems. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Cabin Designer will be to create complex drawings and guide design activities for A220 interiors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience
  • Strong CAD experience with Catia V5/Enovia
  • Strong configuration management experience
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to learn new tools (Google products)
  • Ability to be autonomous and work with diverse teams
  • Excellent written/verbal communication (French and English) and organizational skills
  • This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).
  • Occasional travel within [country] & Overseas
  • Regular business travels will be expected; consequently you must be willing to travel accordingly.
  • Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the creation of complex interface drawings, concept definition and installations on A220 interiors
  • Interpret and apply regulatory requirements and industry design practices
  • Guide drawing creation service providers
  • Participate in engineering problem solving
  • Facilitate concept review meetings with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
  • Ensure planning control of all drawings and ensure communication between parties
  • Provide input to the improvement of engineering processes
