Requirements

• The physical ability to stand and or walk continuously
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area
• Ability to stand for long periods at a time, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to carry and balance pool equipment, umbrellas, push carts and lounge chairs in the course of service
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (90F+) or cold as well as inclement weather
• Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel
• Attention to detail is critical for this role
• Great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic
• Must feel comfortable communicating in English
• Flexibility from everyone on the team

Responsibilities

• Keeping the pool deck orderly
• Confirming patrons are hotel guests and then seating them
• Booking Cabana reservations
• Providing sunshades and umbrellas
• Bringing/taking towels to the laundry and distributing hourly passed pool amenities
• Assisting with food and beverage delivery
• Open/closing and preparing the pool area for guests
• Set-up and breakdown of cabanas
• Maintaining the pool area to ensure guests receive the best experience
• Fulfilling guest requests involving specific amenities, requesting a shaded or sunny area, and special occasions
• Reporting and working with other positions to correct imperfections and blemishes
• Communicating with other departments and the extended hotel team to ensure alignment
