About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a C2BMC Principal Acquisition Analyst in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will become a member of a team with a primary work assignment supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC). This assignment requires a seasoned professional with a detailed understanding of DoD acquisition processes to include cost, schedule, and performance of contracts.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of relevant experience or master’s degree and at least 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess knowledge of acquisition processes/activities required to support the evaluation of contract performance against the program baselines.
  • Must have experience translating technical requirements into contract requirements.
  • Must be capable of working independently or leading cross-functional teams to research, track, and complete ad hoc tasks associated with the PWS.
  • Must have experience in cost, schedule and performance management for a space-based program and/or a DoD.
  • Must have expertise in strategic planning, acquisition strategy development, and development of key acquisition documentation to support acquisition strategy approval and execution.
  • Must have an Active Secret security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

  • Prior MDA experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use working knowledge of applicable DoD acquisition directives to support the development of Missile Defense System (MDS) acquisition policy, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for MDS development and fielding.
  • Develop Acquisition Plans, Justification and Approvals, Request for Proposal packages, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirement Lists.
  • Interpret MDA acquisition guidance to support acquisition planning and MDS program integration.
  • Prepare planning documents to coordinate integrated acquisition strategies within the MDS and OGA partners.
  • Develop reports, information papers, decision papers, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholder leadership.
  • Interact daily with high level DoD Officials (O-6 and above, GS-15/NH-4 equivalent), sitting on-site with the DoD Program Office and ability to deliver products successfully in a fast-paced environment (on demand).
